Powers of Attorney

We offer our clients a fixed fee service in relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney.

A Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document which allows you to appoint someone you trust, to make decisions about such things as your health care or finances if, in the future, you lack the mental capacity to make those decisions yourself.

We can act as Certificate Provider and register the LPA once it is prepared in accordance with your instructions.

We also register existing and valid Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA) and deal with revoking both these and LPAs if required.

Our expertise extends to:

  • making applications to the Court of Protection to make gifts under an LPA, EPA or Deputyship;
  • preparing a Statutory Will (a new Will for a person who lacks capacity); and
  • making an application to the Court of Protection to appoint a Deputy (a person who can deal with finances where no Power of Attorney has been made and the donor lacks capacity).
